Meet Rob from Ridgeway Leatherworks

Meet Rob from Ridgeway Leatherworks

Rob Meyer knows a thing or two about hard work. He started as a volunteer firefighter in 2001, got hired full time in 2005 at Monroe Township Fire Department in New Jersey, and opened Ridgeway Leatherworks in 2015. He is always pushing to get the job done.

The idea for Ridgeway Leatherworks was sparked many years ago while Rob was shopping for a leather collar for his dog Jager. Looking at collars online, Rob decided to make one himself. This initial project sparked his passion for leatherwork and over many years, Rob’s business expanded. He hired three friends and works together with his wife to fulfill more than 2,500 custom orders every year. The demand for Rob’s products have kept him busy.  Having his shop at home has allowed him to manage full time fire with his leatherwork side hustle that has turned into a second full time job.

Make sure to check out his website and social media pages to see everything he makes, including his bestseller radio straps as well as suspenders, belts, chin straps, and inverted flashlight holders. Rob regularly heads out to many of the local trade shows in the New Jersey area. If you get the chance, stop by to meet Rob and see his work.
